Dr. Semmens is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Since graduating he has been an active supporter of the Dental School as a member of the U.S.C. Dental Century Club. He moved to the lake Tahoe area over thirty years ago with his wife Judy and their three sons. He has practiced in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake ever since.

Dr. Semmens is committed to providing the best care for his guests. He has been a member of the Sierra Nevada Dental Study Group for over 25 years. The group’s emphasis has been in the study of full mouth reconstruction and TMJ. He has also been a member of the Sierra Nevada Periodontal Study Group, which focused on the treatment of periodontal disease by both soft tissue management and surgical correction.

He is also a graduate of the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) www.lvidocs.com. He combines neuromuscular dental techniques with state of the art cosmetic dentistry to treat TMJ and myofacial pain, while restoring a beautiful smile. Unique within his field, he is the only dentist in the Reno /Tahoe area that is trained in traditional Gnathology and Neuromuscular dentistry, giving him a well rounded perspective in occlusion and full mouth restoration. His advanced training has given him an advanced clinical ability few dentists possess.
