If you have worn, broken, decayed or missing
teeth, or if you suffer from malocclusion (a bad bite) that
is contributing to jaw pain, neck pain, headaches and/or TMJ
problems, then a Full-Mouth Reconstruction
may be necessary for optimal health.
Dr. Semmens has the expert training to first determine if
your bite is significantly contributing to your symptoms.
He uses state-of-the-art technology to determine if your symptoms
are caused by malocclusion and if so, what your optimal jaw
position is. Once that is determined he will simulate the
corrected-bite with a temporary device, known as an orthotic.
The orthotic is very much like a sports guard or night guard.
It allows Dr. Semmens to make easy adjustments to the plastic
appliance without making irreversible adjustments to the teeth.
Once patients experience significant relief from symptoms
and the bite has been stabilized, Dr. Semmens will move on
to the next step and perform a Full-Mouth
Reconstruction. This approach involves making the teeth
conform to the new stabilized bite position with new crowns.
This permanently re-aligns the bite and provides structural
support for the jaw to sustain the optimal bite. Dr. Semmens
has improved the quality of life for many of his patients
by giving them lasting comfort, attractive, natural-looking
teeth and a beautiful smile through Full-Mouth Reconstruction.
